Healthcare Foundations is designed for rising healthcare leaders who are preparing to bridge the gap between functional leadership and executive-level influence. This high-impact program is a crash course in the business of healthcare, equipping participants with strategic context, cross-functional insight, and meaningful connections to accelerate their leadership journey. 

Powered by distinguished faculty of industry leaders with expertise spanning entrepreneurship, economics, and policy, Healthcare Foundations blends education and networking to give participants a holistic understanding of the systems, trends, and business realities shaping healthcare today. Participants will gain the tools to make an immediate impact within their organizations and across Nashville’s healthcare ecosystem. 

The program is ideal for mid-level leaders who manage teams or multiple functions while balancing operational and strategic responsibilities, as well as leaders transitioning into healthcare from other industries.  

Participants will: 

  • Gain clarity on the key players shaping healthcare today, including payors, providers, investors, and disruptors.
  • Build a deeper understanding of core industry segments, including health systems, private vs. public company operations, capital investments, and healthcare technology.
  • Explore the care continuum, learning why access, quality, and experience drive value and outcomes.
  • Learn of systemic challenges facing the industry and how they are addressed through innovation, policy, and partnerships. 

This program offers a foundation in understanding the business of healthcare and the chance to develop peer networks that will accelerate participants’ careers in Nashville and beyond.
