Fall 2026 Council Executive Forum

Listening to our member executives, we are hearing a growing need for space to talk openly about what leadership looks like when organizations, teams, and expectations are constantly changing.

Chaired by Jeremy Mercer, CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health, this Council Executive Forum will bring together senior healthcare leaders for candid conversations about the realities of leading people through uncertainty, resistance, growth, and transformation. Rather than focusing on frameworks or playbooks, The Human Side of Change Leadership will explore the leadership decisions, communication challenges, interpersonal dynamics, and moments of tension that shape how organizations move forward.

Through peer-driven discussion and real-world experiences, participants will examine the role of emotional intelligence, trust, clarity, accountability, and resilience in leading through change. Designed specifically for senior executives, this Forum creates a trusted environment for leaders to learn from one another and reflect on what effective leadership requires when the path forward is not always clear.
